WIGSTOCK FESTIVAL

Wigstock Returns reimagines the legendary LGBTQ+ drag festival that emerged from Manhattan's East Village in the 1980s. The project aimed to preserve the festival's legacy of self-expression, performance, and community while introducing a contemporary visual identity that resonates with a new generation of attendees.

Drawing inspiration from the bold theatrics of drag culture, I developed a vibrant branding system built around expressive typography, dynamic color, and playful graphic elements. The resulting identity balances nostalgia with modern design, creating a flexible visual language that extends across posters, merchandise, event credentials, and promotional materials while celebrating the joy, inclusivity, and rebellious spirit that defines Wigstock.
